In 2019, before Covid, I took a couple of Giulio's tours in Rome. They were terrific, and I truly improved my photography technique through them. Last year, I finally had the chance to travel again to Italy, so I called Giulio, telling him I would have liked to join him in a full week photography workshop with him. Since I had already been in Tuscany before, he offered a photo trip to Apulia, sent me some photos of it, and showed me the itinerary we would have followed. I immediately agreed with it, because I did want to see and photograph a part of Italy I didn't know. My choice could not be better! We traveled, together with another participant, to the most splendid locations of the Region, taking a great deal of amazing photos with the best light conditions.... and then... Matera!!! What an incredible place to photograph. I can't believe I never heard of it before! It was a week of discovery, fun, photography, and great conversations. If you want to enjoy a week of high-level photography in Italy, book Giulio's tours.

After having made three photo tours with Giulio in Rome and two multiday-tours (Umbria and Tuscany) – all of them absolutely fascinating – I decided to make a further tour. He suggested Puglia. So I asked Giulio to make a proposal for the tour. Soon he sent a detailed tour plan which was already perfect. We agreed on it and on the time which was in May/June 2023. Giulio picked me punctually at the time we agreed at my hotel and our stunning tour to the highlights of Puglia started. The following 14 days were long days. Giulio made with his never ending effort everything possible. Often we left early in the morning to see the sunrise and in the evening we had several night shootings. In the afternoons there was time to discuss the photos taken and did some post-production with lightroom. So, the tour included also a theoretical part where I learned a lot. But most important we spent a fantastic time with taking photos. Giulio did really everything to make the tour unforgettable. There was not a single moment when I didn’t feel well. Apart from that also the selection of the hotels and restaurants was great – always respecting my wishes and preferences. And finally – he is a safe and excellent driver. Like all good days these 14 days went too fastly. And almost at the end – one word about Puglia – absolutey stunning. It was a perfect tour to see the highlights of this Italian paradise. I didn’t have an Idea what to expect – but it was absolutely wonderful – so I can say without hesitating – among all my fantastic tours with Giulio this was the best! To come to an end, I can only thank you, Giulio, for this wonderful time which we spent together. You are a perfect teacher and after several tours I dare saying also a good friend. It is always a joy to talk and discuss with you about photography and many other topics. I strongly recommend everybody who loves photography, Italy and spending a week or two with a wonderful man and great person to book a tour with Giulio. I’m sure you will love it as much as I did it. Now I’m already looking forward to my next tour with Giulio in 2024.

Giulio led us to excellent photo spots, paying attention to many details such as the best time for photos, the angles and the lenses to use. It was an absolutely high-quality and very well-organized tour. The photos we took with him are absolutely great!
