Fortunately, it’s a small world and an online friend recommended Rome Photo Fun Tours as the best photography tour in Rome. It’s run by Giulio D’Ercole, a true local and a professional photographer in Rome. His photos from Rome and his travels have been exhibited and published around the world. Most importantly, Giulio knows the best photo spots in Rome. Sure, the most iconic sites in Rome are well-known. But it saves a ton of time and produces better results if you have advice on the best vantage points and the time of day both for the best lighting and to deal with the crowds. He’ll also show you some of the lesser-known photo opportunities in the city. Giulio says his goal is to “share what I know about the eternal city and how to capture its timeless beauty through the camera lens.” Giulio offers a wide range of photography workshops and tours so that you can photograph the Eternal City at sunrise, by day, and by night. Also he makes sure you will photograph specific locations or neighbourhoods out of the beaten track. Naturally, I wanted a little of everything, and with Giulio's tour, at the end of the week, I came away with a memory card full of photos and many more suggestions for the rest of my visit to Rome. Thanks to Italy Photo Fun Tours, I learned a great deal about photography, and even more insights about the fascinating city of Rome.

Giulio D'Ercole was the guide. He as extensive knowledge of photography and an quickly put you on great shots. He will teach you a technique that it doesn't matter the camera and a technique that you will be able to easily replicate after the tour to get great shots by yourself. Take Giulio's tour, I guarantee you will thank him for his time

Came home from Italy started editing my photos from this tour, and omg the photos came out out-of-this-worldly beautiful, which made me decide to leave another 5 star review here. What Giulio brings to this is not just his camera knowledge and his local knowledge, but the practical aspects such as where to take the shot from to get the best angles and lines of sight; how to maximize your time at each location and how long to stay in each location in order to move on and capture everything you hope to get You have to take this tour. You can get so much out of this tour. Giulio is the real deal. I’ll make this review short and sweet: he became my sensei!!
